The Work: A ceramic mortar bowl redesigned to catch and bring ingredients down to the center of the bowl while having a design that looks great to be served straight to the table. The mortar bowl is made using traditional Iwami Clay that has excellent durability. A craftsman spends a lot of time carefully hand-combing and sharpening the ceramic base, creating the most efficient design to grind and mix your ingredients firmly while saving time and strength. You won’t need to worry about the bowl shifting during use due to the silicone base it has on the bottom of the bowl. This bowl is perfect for making things such as crushing nuts and seeds, making salad dressing, grinding herbs or spice mixes.
